Copy and pasting a question or answer
You can copy a question or an answer that you entered in one part of the question and answer tree and paste it to a different part of the tree.
To copy and paste a question or answer:
Procedure
- Edit the XML input file
- Locate the question or answer element that to copy.
- Highlight and the entire element, including all of the elements that it contains, and use the text editor's tools to copy the selected text. The selected item and all the questions and answers that follow it in the tree are copied and placed on the clipboard.
- If you are copying a question, set the cursor inside of the answer element in which to paste it. If you are copying an answer, set the cursor inside the question element in which to paste it.
- Use the text editor's tools to paste the selected text.
- Save the XML file.
- Update the production server by importing the updated XML file.
Results
You can also use the copy and paste functions to copy questions and answers from one question and answer tree to another.
