Troubleshooting: error message in application tier migration log

While migrating the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance, you receive the following error message in the application tier migration log:

[2004.02.17 11:49:06] Error: Can't create new Payments instance 
[2004.02.17 11:49:06] Error: PM_DB_CONN_URL_ERROR 


Solution

The WebSphere Commerce Payments application tier migration requires a connection to the Payments database. Verify the following steps are complete

  1. The Payments database server has been started.

  2. The Payments database user and password are the same as the user and password for the previous Payments database.
