Common Management Center user interface flows
Once you are familiar with the Management Center user interface, its views, definitions, and services used, it is also useful to understand how a business user interacts with the most common elements within the Management Center, and how the Management Center framework manages each flow.
- Open a tool flow
After a business user logs onto the Management Center, they can start managing objects using the applicable tool.
- Explorer view flow
Business users can use the explorer view to navigate through the objects with which they want to work.
- Properties view flow
After a business user selects an object from the explorer view and opens it, they can edit the properties of the object in the properties view.
- Search flow
Business users interact with the find area to locate objects that they can use and manage in the Management Center. The Management Center performs the search, based on search type and search keyword.
- Reference editor widget flow
A reference editor within the Management Center provides support for editing the relationship between two primary objects. The reference editor is declared as part of the properties view of a primary object; it allows the business user to select another primary object.
- Child list editor widget flow
You can use a child list editor to add new child objects to a list, to delete objects from the list, or to edit an existing child object within the list.
- Collection list editor widget flow
You can use a collection list editor to add new collection objects to a list or to delete collection objects from a list.
