Enable Social Commerce
Social Commerce is shipped and installed with WebSphere Commerce; however, there are required steps that perform to enable and configure Social Commerce to work with the web server and content provider.
Updates to Social Commerce have been provided through Commerce V7 Fix Pack 2. To include those updates in the installation of WebSphere Commerce, install Fix Pack 2 (and optionally Feature Pack 2), and then perform the enablement even if you previously performed the enablement for an earlier version of Social Commerce.
Social Bridging, which is an extension to Social Commerce, is available in Feature Pack 2. You cannot install Feature Pack 2 without installing Fix Pack 2, however, they can be installed at the same time. To pick up Social Bridging, install both Fix Pack 2 and Feature Pack 2, and then perform the enablement.
Note: If you want WebSphere Commerce search and Social Commerce features after installing Feature Pack 2, publish the associated store archive files in the following order:
- SocialCommerce.sar
- MadisonsEnhancements.sar.
