WebSphere Commerce software requirements - IBM i v6.1

To use the IBM i 6.1 (V6R1M0) operating system with WebSphere Commerce v7, install the following software:

You can start the host servers by using the Start Host Server (STRHOSTSVR) command by typing STRHOSTSVR *ALL on the i5/OS command line. (The QSERVER subsystem must be running on the iSeries system.)

Install the following PTFs:

Review the list of additional PTFs on the Fix Central site and install the ones required by the edition of WebSphere Commerce.

Web browsers for WebSphere Commerce tools

You can only access the WebSphere Commerce tools, like the Management Center or WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, from a supported browser on a machine running a Windows operating system on the same network as the WebSphere Commerce machine.

To use the WebSphere Commerce tools, use one of the following browsers:

Management Center

  • Firefox 3.0

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0

WebSphere Commerce Accelerator

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0
Prior versions of these browsers do not support the full function of the WebSphere Commerce tools.
