Troubleshoot: Errors logged when configuring a Web server
An error indicating a plug-in propagation failure is logged when configuring a Web server.
Problem
You encounter an error message similar to the following in the SystemOut.log file when configuring a Web server:
00000042 SystemOut O PLGC0063E: The propagation of plug-in configuration file from /opt/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/demo/config//cells/WC_demo_cell/nodes/ webserver1_node/servers/webserver1/plugin-cfg.xml to /opt/WebSphere/Plugins/ config/webserver1/plugin-cfg.xml on the webserver machine failed.
Solution
If you encounter this error message, complete one of the following based on the configuration:
- If you are using a local Web server, you can ignore this error message.
- If you are using a remote Web server, refer to Installing Web server plug-ins.
