Troubleshoot: Silent installation of DB2 failed

The silent installation of the DB2 failed, and you are unable to find the installation logs. The WebSphere Commerce installer failed to initiate the DB2 silent installation process.


Solution

Verify that the DB2 installation image is acceptable...

  1. Navigate to the location that stores the DB2 CD images.

  2. Extract the contents of the tar file to a temporary location.

  3. Launch the DB2 installation wizard from this temporary location. Verify the DB2 installation wizard launches properly.

    • If the DB2 installation wizard does not launch properly, contact WebSphere Commerce support.

    • If the DB2 installation wizard launches properly, try the WebSphere Commerce installation again.

Verify that the DB2 installation image is acceptable by ensuring that you can manually start the DB2 installation wizard.
