WebSphere Application Server installation logs

The installation of WebSphere Application Server and associated fixes generates the following log file:

WAS_HOME/logs/install/log.txt

If the WebSphere Commerce installation wizard did not complete successfully or was otherwise interrupted and WAS was installed, the log files will be in the following location:

drive:\Documents and Settings\user_ID\Local Settings\Temp\
drive:\Users\user_ID\AppData\Local\Temp\
/tmp

The WAS installation is complete if the following message appears in the log.txt file:

INSTCONFSUCCESS

There may be several INSTCONFSUCCESS messages in the log file.

To verify WAS version, look at...

WAS_HOME/properties/version/WAS.product

WAS is at the correct version required by WebSphere Commerce if the version indicated in the file is 7 or higher.
