To find product information efficiently, try the index or run a tailored search with the quick view button. Create PDFs or print out the favorite help topics. You can stay up-to-date with the latest information from the WebSphere Commerce RSS feeds in the Web resources section. You can download WebSphere Commerce Information Centers and customize them for the needs of the organization.
Move through topics you have seen Go to the WebSphere Commerce Information Center home page. Collapse all topics in the Contents view. Maximize or restore a view. Navigate between the topics that you previously viewed. Bookmark a topic in the browser. This icon only displays in Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. Toggle between the Contents view, Search Results view and the Index view. Find what you need in the information center Search You can perform simple and complex searches.
- Use simple search
Enter an exact word or phrase in the Search field; then click GO. Searches are not case sensitive.
- Use complex search
Type words in the Search field, with double quotation marks for exact searches, asterisk (*) or question mark (?) wild cards, or Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT).
- Narrow a search
Click Search scope. In the Select Search Scope window, you can specify the name of the search list and the topics to search.
- Search within a set of information
Click to search the current topic or its subtopics.
- Search IBM.com
Enter a term then click Search to search within IBM.com.
Tip:
- Turn off and on the highlighting that displays in search results ().
- Synchronize the Topics view and the Contents view () so that the displayed topic is highlighted in the Contents view.
- To keep the Contents view and the Topics view synchronous all the time click .
Index Click Index (); then type words in the type-ahead field to look them up in the index.
To see the topic, click Display or click an index entry in the list.
Filter Set a filter to limit the topic titles that are displayed in the Contents view.
Topics might be tagged for particular criteria, for example, when a topic is only associated with a specific operating system. You can set filters to display only the topics you want in the Contents view.
Any filter that you set only affects the display of topics in the Contents view and the actions like the quick print and quick search that you can take in the Contents view. The filters are not applied to any other views, such as Index views, or Search Results view.
Print topics or sets of topics You can print the current topic or a group of topics (), or the current topic (). To create a PDF from the selected topics, specify the PDF distiller as the selected printer.
To print topics to a PDF file format, have a PDF distiller that you can point to from the print preferences dialog. You can download a free version from the internet, or the company may have one available for the use.

You can download help contents to the computer so that you can work while disconnected from the Internet. By default, WebSphere Commerce information center accesses the product documentation on the ibm.com Web site. You can access the Web-based help for the product only when you are connected to the Internet. When you are disconnected, you have access to a limited number of help topics that are installed with the WebSphere Commerce.
