Changing the refresh interval

WebSphere Application Server has a parameter called the Reload Interval to indicate how frequently a JSP should be recompiled. In our labs, we will modify JSPs and view the changes.

To facilitate the changes being reflected immediately, we will shorten the interval to 10 seconds.


Procedure

  1. Open WC_EAR\Stores.war\WEB-INF\ibm-web-ext.xml.

  2. Search for reloadInterval, and change its value to 10.

  3. Restart the server for this setting to take effect.

    Wait until Step 3 to restart the server.
