Open the Administration Console


Overview

Users with Site Administrator access can open the Administration Console.


Procedure

  1. On the workstation where you are using the Administration Console, set up the display:

    • Set the screen area to a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels.
    • Set the color depth to a minimum of 256 colors.

  2. Disable any pop-up blocking software.

  3. Verify you have Site Administrator access.

  4. Access the following Web address in the browser:

    https:// host:8002/adminconsole

    For Developer...

    1. Ensure you have started WebSphere Commerce within WebSphere Commerce development environment.

    2. Access the following Web address in the browser:

      https:// host/webapp/wcs/admin/servlet/ToolsLogon?XMLFile=adminconsole.AdminConsoleLogon

  5. From the Logon page, type the Administration Console logon user name and password.

    The default user name and password are both wcsadmin.

  6. Click Log On.

    Tasks that you are authorized to perform display in the Administration Console home page.

  7. From the Administration Console Site/Store Selection page, select the Site or Store radio buttons.

  8. If you selected Site, then Click OK and the Site Administration Console home page displays.

    If you selected Store, choose the store name and language from the Name and Language drop-down lists.

  9. Click OK to display the Administration Console home page.
