Enhanced Activity Builder gives you more options for designing winning marketing activities
The Activity Builder's drag-and-drop graphical interface has been enhanced to make it easier for you to take advantage of the latest Marketing tool features.
Enhancements include:
- Dialog activity support:
- You can now use the Activity Builder to create Dialog activities using the same techniques you used to build Web activities in previous releases.
- Branching
- Your Web and Dialog activities can now include multiple paths when you drag the new Branch element into the activity flow. As a result, a single activity can have multiple outcomes, and you can target each outcome at a different set of customers.
- Redesigned palette
- The palette contains all the elements build successful activities, including the new triggers, targets, actions, and the Branch element.
To help you work with the extensive palette contents more efficiently, you can now resize the palette, and expand and shrink sections within it. If you place the cursor over any palette icon, you can access a detailed Help topic about how to use the icon. A developer can reorganize the palette contents to meet the specific business needs.
- Customer counters on elements
- After you activate a Web or Dialog activity on the site, you can see how many customers have reached each trigger, target, or action in the activity as time passes. The customer count numbers display within the Activity Builder, below each element. Use these statistics to evaluate the success of the activities.
- Free-form building option
- If you do not want to start a new Web activity with a template, you now have the option to start with a blank Web activity. This "free-form" option lets you create exactly the Web activity you need from scratch. All Dialog activities start with the free-form building option.
