Define tax rates

All rates should be specified as a percentage value, and not a flat rate.

To define tax rates:

1. Open WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

2. From either the Store or Hub menu, select Change Tax.
   The Tax notebook opens.

3. From the left navigation frame, click Rates.

4. If you created your store based on a starter store archive, note that the tax rates table contains a default tax, Shipping, which has an initial value of 0.00. In the Shipping column, for each jurisdiction within the table, type the tax rate charged for shipping.
   Leave the value as zero if you do not charge a shipping tax.

5. In the rest of the cells, type the tax rate for each combination of tax jurisdiction and tax category.

6. Click OK to save your settings and exit.

After you have defined tax rate, you are now ready to assign tax categories to tax codes. As outlined in Set up taxes, continue to step 7, Assign categories to codes.
