Remove a category

To remove a category from a sales catalog:

1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

2. Select Merchandise > Sales Catalogs.
   
   

   Select Products > Sales Catalogs.
   The Sales Catalogs page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.

3. From the list of available sales catalogs, select a catalog from which you want to remove a category and click Design.

4. From the Target Catalog page, the category tree for the sales catalog displays. Highlight the category to be removed and click Remove Category.

5. The category is removed from the sales catalog. Any subcategories are also removed.

   • If the category was linked from another sales catalog, then the category will still exist in the other sales catalog.

   • If the category was created specifically for the sales catalog, then the category will be deleted entirely from the WebSphere Commerce system.
