Duplicating the category structure and catalog entries

To duplicate a portion of an existing category and subcategory structure, including the catalog entries in a catalog:

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Select Merchandise > Sales Catalogs.

    Select Products > Sales Catalogs.
    The Sales Catalogs page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.

  3. From the list of available sales catalogs, select a catalog where you will be adding the duplicated category structure and click Design.

  4. From the Target Catalog page, the category tree for the selected sales catalog displays.

  5. From the Source Catalog page, click

    for a list of available catalogs. Select a catalog and click Display Category Tree.

  6. In the target category tree, highlight the target parent category. This is the category under which the source category will be duplicated.

  7. In the source category tree, highlight the category whose structure, that is, all subcategories, will be duplicated and click Duplicate Structure and Catalog Entries.

  8. A confirmation message will be displayed once the category structure and its catalog entries have been duplicated.
