Configure e-mail notification for a store (Enterprise)

New message types cannot be added to the system nor existing ones deleted; instead there is a predefined set of message types using the e-mail transport that can be configured.

To configure e-mail notification for a store:

  1. Open the Administration Console
  2. From either the Store or Hub menu, select Message Type Configuration.
    The Message Type Configuration page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.
  3. To configure an individual message type, click the message type to link to the Configuration Parameters page, or select the corresponding check box. If you select the check box, click Configure to open the Configuration Parameters page, where the message types can be configured.
  4. In the Configuration Parameters page, make changes to the parameter values by typing information into the fields and click Finish. The new parameters are saved. If you click Cancel, your changes will not be made. The SMTP host name and the sender e-mail address fields are mandatory.

Note: The maximum field length for the parameter values on the Configuration Parameters page is 254 characters.
