Guided Sell metaphor
The Guided Sell metaphor is intended for customers who are not sure where to start. It presents them with a series of multiple-choice questions, where each answer determines the next question. You can create as many answers as you want for a given question. For each answer, you can create one subsequent question.
As the customer works through the questions, the information provided by each answer is collected and an increasingly refined list of products matching the given answers is determined. The customer can choose to view this list at any time or to continue with the questions. By default, the answers to the last question available will link to a Product Comparison metaphor. This Product Comparison metaphor must be previously defined. When the last question is answered, a list of matching products displays automatically. This default can be overridden to target a different metaphor or a different URL.
The Guided Sell metaphor is the only metaphor that can be prepared without having a fully prepared search space. You can also use the Guided Sell metaphor to create a simple knowledge or navigation tree for your site that leads customers to various pages on your site by omitting constraints for your answers.
