Migrating LikeMinds Personalization Server

Likeminds Personalization Server can be migrated from version 5.5, 5.6, and 5.6.1 to version 6.0. To migrate the LikeMinds Personalization Server, perform the following steps:

1. Migrate the LikeMinds database. Note that the LikeMinds schema for WebSphere Commerce 5.6.1 and 6.0 are identical. No database migration is required to migrate LikeMinds from WebSphere Commerce 5.6.1 to WebSphere Commerce 6.0.
2. Migrate the LikeMinds instance.

Note:

• The migration steps focus on preserving the existing LikeMinds clickStream logging data for recommendations. If you are using the same LikeMinds server with another product, or have customized the WebSphere Commerce implementation with LikeMinds,
  you might need to make some modifications to these steps, or consult the IBM service team.
• The LikeMinds architecture changed in WebSphere Commerce version 5.6.1, and became a Java implementation. As a result, you might not be able to use it as a stand-alone server with other products, as in previous versions.
