Integrator
To integrate WebSphere Commerce with a back-end system you should be skilled in Java, relational database, and XML. Additionally you should understand the WebSphere Commerce programming model and the WebSphere Commerce architecture. You will also need to understand the back-end system that WebSphere Commerce will connect with and be familiar with the applicable middleware, for example WebSphere MQ.
To facilitate integration with external systems, WebSphere Commerce provides reference applications. A reference application is a sample that demonstrates how to use WebSphere Commerce in support of a common scenario. Currently reference applications show how to integrate WebSphere Commerce with a CRM system, with an ERP application, and with a call center application. You can download reference applications from the WebSphere Commerce support page. Periodically check the WebSphere Commerce site for new reference applications.
