Change Pages or Flow functionalities in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator are slow to complete

 Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem(Abstract)
You notice in WebSphere Application Server V6.0, and WebSphere Commerce, version 6.0 and later releases, the Change Pages or Change Flow functionalities present in the Accelerator take some time to complete. These functionalites can take up to a maximum of 30 minutes to finish.
Cause
The change pages or change flow functionalities use EARUpdater to update the changes in all of the nodes and hence takes some time to update.
Resolving the problem
Ensure that the jobs which use EARUpdater such as ScheduledContentManagedFileEARUpdate, Upload Files, and Store Publish are not running. The EARUpdater will not run simultaneously with these jobs and this can lead to performance degradation.

To stop these jobs from running simultaneously, Log on to Site Admin Console and select Store -> Configuration -> Scheduler. List of scheduler jobs with state and start date will be displayed.

Select the required scheduler job and click on Change button. In the next screen, reschedule the job to some date in future by changing the start date and start time. This will make sure that these jobs do not run concurrently.
