(troubleshooting)
Cannot find products while attempting to find inventory
Problem(Abstract)
You have to search for the products in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator before creating an AdHocReciept or an expected inventory record. When you search by SKU or name, no results are displayed.

The search will be based on catentdesc.name when searching by name, and itemspc.partnumber when searching by SKU.

Cause The products are not set up correctly in the database to support ATP. This can occur while adding items when ATP is not enabled, and then enabling ATP later.

The 5.6 ConsumerDirect store is not ATP enabled. If you enable ATP, the database will not be populated correctly for the items to support ATP. Resolving the problem The following link explains what the necessary catalog assets are. While uploading items, you have to ensure that these are followed.

To display the products on searching in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator while using the inventory as defined by the ConsumerDirect sample store:

  1. Make the following adjustments to your database for each BASEITEM/ITEMSPC in your catalog:

    1. Update STOREITEM.trackinventory set to 'Y'.

    2. Add an entry in the BASEITMDSC table (for each language in use).

    3. Add an entry in VersionSpc.

  2. If this does not work, verify the entries of the following tables from your database:

    • baseitem

    • baseitmdsc

    • storeitem

    • catentry

    • catentdesc

    • itemspc

    • qtyunitdsc
