MustGather: WebSphere Commerce Web2.0 Madisons Store
Problem(Abstract)
MustGather for problems encountered with the WebSphere Commerce Madisons2 store. Gathering this information before calling IBM support will familiarize you with the troubleshooting process and save time.
Resolving the problem Madisons2 store is the new Web 2.0 sample consumer direct starter store provided by WebSphere Commerce. This new sample store showcases some of the best-of-breed on-line shopping experiences as described by Web 2.0. The Web 2.0 store makes use of Rich Internet Application (RIA) and Dojo Toolkit to create a more usable and efficient shopping experience that cannot be achieved with Web 1.0.
If there are any issues with the Madisons2 Store, gather the following information before you call IBM support:

  1. The software stack or environment that the problem occurs on:
    > Operating System
    > WebSphere Commerce edition, version and fix pack level
    > WAS version and fix pack level
    > Database type and version
    > Browser type and version
    > Dojo Toolkit version

  2. Detailed problem description

  3. If this is a browser specific problem. If so, the browser type and version on which the problem occurs and the browser type and version on which the Madisons2 Store works properly.

  4. If this is a JavaScript error. If so, the script error details displayed in the browser.

  5. Screen shot of the page with the error.

  6. If this problem is related to performance, then this additional information is required.

  7. Current performance statistics for a page on two different browsers:
    > Dojo profile file (If Dojo profiling was used to build dojo.js)
    > Details of any performance optimization techniques used, like setting parseWidget = false for
    dojo widgets
    > Include your cachespec.xml if it has been enabled

  8. Traces and logs. Gather the following files after enabling the necessary trace components.
    Example: If the error is during checkout or in Shopping Cart page, then enable WC_ORDER and com.ibm.commerce.order.facade.client and com.ibm.commerce.order.facade.server.commands

    If the error is while publishing the Madisons Store itself, then enable WC_DEVTOOLS, WC_IDRESGEN, WC_MASSLOAD trace.
    > WAS_installdir/profiles/instance/logs/server1/SystemOut.log
    > WAS_installdir/profiles/instance/logs/server1/trace.log
    > WAS_installdir/profiles/instance/logs/server1/SystemErr.log
