Comments cannot be added to orders after upgrading to Fix Pack 1 (6.0.0.1)
Problem(Abstract)
You notice comments cannot be added to orders in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator after upgrading to 6.0 FP1 (6.0.0.1). The problem did not exist in version 6.0.0.0.
Cause This is a change of behavior caused by code changes in FP1. Diagnosing the problem To reproduce the problem:

  1. Create a test order from the store front or from WebSphere Commerce Accelerator. (You must be logged on as a registered user and place the test order from the ConsumerDirect storefront.)

  2. Find the order:
    - Log on to WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
    - Select the ConsumerDirect store.
    - Select the Operations menu and click Find Orders.

  3. Search orderID and click Comments. This opens the Comments page.

  4. Add a comment and save.

  5. Click the Order summary page.

The summary will not show the comments. However, the comments can be seen in the database in the ORCOMMENT table. Resolving the problem This problem (APAR LI71819) is fixed in Fix Pack 6.0.0.2. The fix is also included in the newest fix pack which can be obtained from the Recommended fixes and settings page.
