(troubleshooting)
Non-root users profile changes are not picked up
Problem(Abstract)
You made one of the following changes to the non-root user's profile in a WebSphere Commerce federated environment:

- You have edited the .profile.
- You have edited the setupCmdLine.sh script.
- You have made a configuration change; for example, sourcing the database user's profile.

The non-root user is used to start the WebSphere Commerce server.

After completing these changes and restarting the WebSphere Commerce application through the WAS ND administration console, the changes are not reflected on the server.

If you restart the server through the command line interface, the changes appear properly.

Cause After it is federated, the Node Agent local to the WebSphere Commerce server node also sources in the non-root users profile if started as the non-root user. Resolving the problem Restart the Node Agent prior to restarting the WebSphere Commerce server for the changes to be reflected at server startup.
