New locations of log and configuration files in WebSphere Commerce 6.0

Problem(Abstract)

WebSphere Commerce, version 6.0, sits on top of WAS, version 6.0. WAS has made some changes in version 6.0. As a result, the locations of some logs and configuration files used by WebSphere Commerce have been changed.

Resolving the problem The following tables show which log or configuration files have been affected and their old and new locations:

WebSphere Commerce Log Files

File	5.6.x location	6.0 location
SystemOut.log, SystemErr.log, startServer.log, trace.log	WAS_installdir\logs \WC_instance\	WAS_installdir\profiles \profile\logs\server1\

WebSphere Commerce Configuration Files

Where
instance is by default demo
profile is by default demo
WC_instance is by default WC_demo
webserverNodeName is by default webserver1
webserverName is by default webserver1
plugins_install_dir is the installation directory of the WebSphere Application Plugin
