Troubleshoot: Error 404 - File not found

You test the URL in your browser and encounter Error 404 - File not found.

This error means that the file could not be found on the file system. First check that the file is in fact on the Web server's file system. If it is, you should examine the Web server's log and error files to see why it could not find the problem. Quite often this can happen if you have customized the aliases or created new aliases that are not configured correctly.
