E-mail activity assets
E-mail activities provide Marketing Managers with a method by which they can perform direct marketing to customers using e-mail. The e-mail activities can deliver highly targeted messages to select subsets of your customer base. The following diagram illustrates how experiments fit into the WebSphere Commerce Server.
- Email Initiative
- The Email initiative object represents an e-mail activity.
- Email Message
- Each Email initiative has an associated Email Message object. This represents the content of the e-mail. This single message can be created using e-Marketing Spots so that the content is dynamically generated based on the target customer, thereby delivering personalized content to each customer.
- CustomerList
- Each Email initiative has an associated CustomerList object. This represents the list of the target customers, to whom the e-mail is delivered. This list can be obtained from one or more target customer segments, or from an explicit list of customers generated for this purpose.
- Customer Profile
- The Customer Profile object represents the customer segments targeted by the e-mail activity.
