Process: Delete business account
Flow
Objective
To remove a business account from WebSphere Commerce
Description
If you want to end a relationship with a customer, then an Account Representative should delete the business account. When a business account is deleted, the contracts under that account are not automatically affected. The Account Representative needs to decide if the contracts should be terminated immediately, or they can be left to expire at their end dates. If the contracts should be terminated immediately, then the contracts need to be canceled before deleting the business account. If the contracts are left to expire, the Account Representative has two options: wait until the contracts have expired before deleting the business account, or delete the business account immediately. Contracts left to expire are available to customers once the account is deleted, but the customer is not entitled to the terms and conditions from the business account. Once a business account has been deleted, then it is not available for reporting purposes.
