Burning backup copies of the WebSphere Commerce CDs

If you require a CD copy of the WebSphere Commerce product, follow these steps to create the CDs.

The information included here is for reference only. Your CD burning software may use different terminology.

  1. Extract the image from the CD images file.

    If the downloaded image contains multiple CDs, burn each CD on a separate disk. For example if the image file contains /disk1 and /disk2 directories, you would burn each to a separate physical media disk.

  2. Based on the media format listed on the WebSphere Commerce Assemblies page, burn the CD using your preferred CD-burning software:

    Format Settings
    UDF

    • UDF format.

    • Force DVD compatibility mode.

    • Burn as a single-session CD. Do not burn as a multi-session CD.

    Windows:

    ISO


    • ISO 9660.

    • Joliet format.

    • Mode 1.

    • Relax ISO restrictions to allow more than 8 levels of subdirectories.

    • Allow for more than 255 characters in the path.

    • Relax Joliet restrictions to allow more than 64 characters.

    • Burn as a single-session CD. Do not burn as a multi-session CD.

    AIX|Linux|Solaris:

    ISO


    • ISO9660 - Rock Ridge Format.

    • Allow 31 character file names or greater.

    • Omit trailing period from files that do not have a period.

    • Do not use deep directory relocation.

    • Burn as a single-session CD. Do not burn as a multi-session CD.

    I5/OS: ISO


    • ISO 9660.

    • Joliet format.

    • Mode 1.

    • Relax Joliet restrictions to allow more than 106 character file names.

    • Burn as a single-session CD. Do not burn as a multi-session CD.
