Manage an Ideation Blog
An Ideation Blog must be created within a community. Membership is restricted to the community membership. You must be an owner of an Ideation Blog to manage it.
- To freeze the creation of new ideas for the Ideation Blog, click Ideation Blog Actions > Stop Idea Creation. Users are no longer allowed to contribute ideas but they can still vote for and comment on existing ideas in the blog.
- To completely freeze the Ideation Blog, click Ideation Blog Actions > Freeze Ideation Blog. Users cannot contribute new ideas or vote for or comment on existing ideas.
- To manage settings for the Ideation Blog, click Ideation Blog Actions > Manage Ideation Blog. In addition to managing the settings that are common for all blogs, we can also control voting:
- Choose Unlimited voting to allow members to vote as many times as they like.
- Choose Set a voting limit to restrict the number of votes each member can cast to the number we specify.
- To export the ideas from an Ideation Blog to a file, click Ideation Blog Actions > Export Ideas. The following fields from each idea are saved t a CSV file: Title, Creator, Create time, Last updater, Last updated time, Content, Tags, Vote Count, Comment Count, Status (graduated or not), and Activity link.
- To mark an idea as a duplicate, select More Actions > Mark as Duplicate. You must search for the duplicate idea so the votes can be merged. The duplicate idea is marked as a duplicate and no further votes are allowed.
- To remove an idea from an Ideation blog, select More Actions > Delete Idea for the idea and confirm to remove it.
