User and device data

Reference information about users of the native app and their mobile devices.


About users and devices

The Mobile Admin console provides various views of the users and devices that are registered to use the Mobile application. Refer to these views to look up information about a user or device.


Users

To view user data, log in to the Mobile Admin console and click Users. The console displays the following user data:

User Name

Login name of the user.

User State

Whether the user is online or offline. If the user has logged in at any time in the previous 24 hours, the state is given as online.

Access Allowed

The user’s current access status.

Click on a column to sort the table.

To filter the table, select a value from the Filter menu, enter a search term, and click the Search icon or press Enter. We can use * as a wildcard search term.

Click on a user record to open it. From the user details view, we can deny access to the user. Conversely, if the user is already denied access, we can restore access from this view.


Devices

To view device data, log in to the Mobile Admin console and click Devices. The console displays the following device data:

User Name

The user name associated with the device.

Device Name

The name of the device.

Last Access Check

The date and time when the device most recently logged into IBM Connections.

Device OS

The operating system on the device.

Device OS Level

The version of the operating system.

Build Level

Represents the version of the Connections native app that is connecting to the server.

Click on a column to sort the table.

To filter the table, select a value from the Filter menu, enter a search term, and click the Search icon or press Enter. We can use * as a wildcard search term.

Click on a device record to open it. From the device details view, we can deny access to the device. Conversely, if the device is already denied access, we can restore access from this view. Similarly, we can wipe the device or clear a scheduled wipe.
