Uninstall in Connections in console mode
- Start the IBM WAS Deployment Manager.
- Stop all instances of WAS, including node agents, in the deployment.
- Start the installation wizard...

5. Uninstall - Remove installed software packages
- Select the Connections package group and then type N to proceed.

- Select the applications to remove and then type N to proceed.
- Type U to start removing applications.
- To check the details of the procedure, open the log files in connections_root/logs.
Each uninstalled Connections application has a log file that uses the following naming format:
application_nameUninstall.log
- To reinstall Connections, remove the following files. Except where noted, remove these files from the system hosting the dmgr. Some of these files might be used by other programs, in which case we cannot remove them.
- IBM Connections installation files: connections_root
If we did not install Connections in the default directory, delete the directory where you installed the product.
- IBM Connections shared data: Delete the directories specified for shared data when we installed IBM Connections.
- IBM Connections local data: On each node, delete the directories specified for local data when we installed IBM Connections.
Deleting IBM Connections data files makes the original deployment unrecoverable. If we plan to reinstall Connections, and use the old data, do not delete the data files.

profile_root/config/cells/cell_name/LotusConnections-config
- If it is present, delete the registry.xml file from the profile_root/config/cells/cell_name directory.
- Delete all .py files from the Dmgr bin directory...
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/profile_name/bin
