Remove Connections applications
We cannot use this procedure to remove core applications such as Home page, News, and Search.
- Start the IBM WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager.
- Stop all instances of WAS, including node agents, in the deployment.
- To uninstall a component of connections, start the Installation Manager and click...
Modify | IBM Connections | Next
- Clear the check boxes of the applications to remove and then click Next.
- Enter the details of the WAS environment, and then click Next.
- In the Summary page, verify the details are correct.
- Click Modify to begin removing applications.
- When the process is complete, restart the dmgr.
- Restart all instances of WAS, including node agents.
- Synchronize the nodes.

connections_root/logs
Each Connections application that you uninstalled has a log file that uses the following naming format: application_nameUninstall.log, where application_name is the name of a Connections application.

- Shut down Connections dmgr, appservers, and nodeagent.
- Remove contents of...

appserver/profiles/dmgr/wstemp- Restart DMGR, restart node agent
Do not start the CNX appserver itself
- In the WAS console, install
IBM/Connections/search/search/search/installableApps/search.ear
- Go back into Manage Module and confirm that the settings are the same as the snapshot you took before uninstalling
- Look at security roles group/user name mapping that the roles are correct and the same as before uninstalling.
