Define IBM HTTP Server

  1. Install web server plug-ins for IHS.

  2. Start the IBM HTTP Administration Server:

      cd /usr/IBM/HTTPServer/bin
      ./adminctl start

  3. Log on to the WAS console on the dmgr, select...

      System administration | Nodes | Add Node | Unmanaged node | Next

    ...then set...

    Name Name of the node.
    Host Name DNS host name for IHS. For example: webhost.myco.com
    Platform OS of IHS host.

    Click OK and then click Save.

  4. Select...

      Servers | Server Types | Web servers | New

    ...and set...

    Select node Node specified earlier
    Server name Web server definition name. Default: webserver1.
    Type Select IBM HTTP Server.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Select the default web server template and click Next.

  7. On the page...

      Enter the properties for the new web server

    ...enter the user name and password specified during IHS installation.

    Confirm the password and click Next.

  8. Confirm to create the new web server then click...

      Finish | Save

  9. Synchronize all the nodes.

  10. Select...

      Servers | Server Types | Web servers | web_server checkbox | Generate Plug-in

  11. Select

      Servers | Server Types | Web servers | web_server checkbox | Propagate Plug-in.

  12. Select...

    If plugin-key.kdb is on a different system from the IHS system, copy it manually from the WAS system to the IHS system.

  13. Restart IBM HTTP Server.

  14. Configure IHS to handle file downloads from the Files and Wikis applications
