Bootstrap address settings
Specify one or more bootstrap addresses for a foreign cell binding. Multiple bootstrap addresses can enhance the failover support provided by clusters.
(ZOS) Only one bootstrap address is required on the z/OS platform to enhance the failover support provided by clusters.
From the admin console, click Environment > Naming > Foreign cell bindings > foreign_cell_binding_name > Bootstrap addresses > bootstrap_address_host_name
This page is similar to the Specify bootstrap addresses panel on the new foreign cell binding wizard.
Host name
Host name of the administrative agent, deployment manager, node agent, server or cluster member in the foreign cell used for bootstrapping.
Specify the IP address, DNS host name with domain name suffix, or just the DNS host name, of the bootstrap host for the deployment manager of the backup cluster.
For example, if the host name is myhost, the fully qualified DNS name can be myhost.myco.com and the IP address can be 155.123.88.201.
For high availability, specify the bootstrap addresses for all of the cluster members. Otherwise, enter a single bootstrap address.
(ZOS) A single address is sufficient for high availability.
Port
Bootstrap port number for the administrative agent, deployment manager, node agent, server or cluster member running on the specified host. The port value is used in conjunction with the host name.
