(Dist) Thread pool collection

View and manage the thread pools an application server uses. A thread pool enables components of the server to reuse threads, which eliminates the need to create new threads at run time. Creating new threads expends time and resources.

(ZOS) Note

This page is not available for the z/OS platform because thread pools are not used in a z/OS environment.

To view this administrative console page, we can choose more than one navigational route. For example, click...

        Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server > Thread pools.

To view the settings for a specific thread pool, click the name of that thread pool.

To create a thread pool, click New and enter the information on the resulting panel.

To delete a thread pool, select the thread pool we want to delete, then click Delete.
