Create web server templates

A web server template is used to define the configuration settings for a new web server. When we create a new web server, we can either create a new web server definition or use a previously created web server template based on another, already existing web server.

To create a web server template.

Tasks

  1. In the administrative console, click...

Servers > Server Types > Web servers > > Templates.

We can also use the createWebServerTemplate command for the AdminTask object to create a web server template.

  2. (iSeries) On the Server Templates page, click New.

  3. (iSeries) Select the web server to use to create the new template> OK.

  4. (iSeries) Enter the name of the new template and, optionally, a description of that template that distinguishes it from your other templates.

  5. (iSeries) Click OK.

Your new template displays in the list of server templates we can use to create a new web server.
