Redundant core group policies collection

This pane shows all the core group policies associated with this cluster through their match criteria, but that are not associated with any messaging engine in this cluster. Use this pane to delete redundant core group policies that we do not want.

When we use messaging engine policy assistance, for each messaging engine, an appropriate core group policy is created and associated with that messaging engine automatically. We do not have to create or manage core group policies directly. A redundant core group policy might occur if messaging engine policy assistance is not enabled and you remove a messaging engine without deleting its associated core group policy, or create a core group policy that is not associated with a messaging engine.

Core group policy name

The name of the core group policy that is redundant, that is, a core group policy associated with this cluster through its match criteria, but it is not associated with any messaging engine that is currently in the cluster.

Target messaging engine name

The name of the messaging engine that the core group policy is targeted at, that is, the name specified through the match criteria of the core group policy.

In this situation, the target messaging engine name will be the name of a messaging engine that does not exist, for example because the match criteria are not correct, or the messaging engine was removed.

Failover?

Specify whether the messaging engine associated with this policy can fail over to another server. Values can be Yes or No.

Fail back?

Specify whether the messaging engine associated with this policy can fail back to a more preferred server. Values can be Yes or No.

Preferred order of servers to run on

The list of preferred servers for the messaging engine associated with this policy to run on. The list is in the order of preference.

Only run on preferred servers?

Specify whether the messaging engine associated with this policy can run only on the servers in the list of preferred servers, or can run on any server available in the cluster. Values can be Yes or No.
