Configure the core group bridge service
The core group bridge service establishs communication between core groups. To configure communication between core groups, we use an access point group, which is a collection of core groups.
For WAS V7.x and higher, core-bridge topologies are discouraged. Use multi-cell routing instead.
Core group communication methods
- Configure the core group bridge service for communication between two core groups in the same cell.
- Configure the core group bridge service for communication between two core groups in different cells.
Configure the core group bridge to communicate between cells only when the service is required by another product component.
- Configure the core group bridge service for communication within the cell, and outside of the cell.
- Configure the core group bridge service for communication using a tunnel peer access point.
Configure this type if we are using a DMZ Secure Proxy Server for IBM WebSphere Application Server.
Multiple core groups can communicate with each other.
