Import an exported DataPower appliance manager configuration
We can import an exported DataPower appliance manager configuration to use that configuration, instead of the current configuration, as the configuration for the appliance manager. For example, if the current configuration is corrupted, we might want to import a backup copy of that configuration that we have stored in either a local or remote file system.
Like a file containing a firmware version, a file containing an exported DataPower appliance manager configuration can be stored on the system on which the browser is running, or it can be stored on the system on which the deployment manager is running. A file that is on stored on the system on which the browser is running is considered stored on a local system. A file stored on the system on which the deployment manager is running is considered stored on a remote system.
Complete these steps to use the administrative console to import a repository file from a remote system.
Tasks
- In the administrative console, click Servers > DataPower > Appliance manager settings.
- In the Operations section, click Import to import an exported DataPower appliance manager configuration.
- Select Upload from local system or Upload from remote system.
- In the Fully qualified file name field, enter the fully qualified file name for the file to import. The fully qualified name of a file includes the full directory path to that file, and the file name. If we don't know the fully qualified name of the file, use the browse function to locate the file.
- Click Next.
- View the summary information, and then click Finish.
