Naming and directories: Resources for learning
Additional information and guidance on naming and directories is available on various Internet sites.
Use the following links to find relevant supplemental information about naming and directories. The information resides on IBM and non-IBM Internet sites, whose sponsors control the technical accuracy of the information.
The naming service provided with WebSphere Application Server Versions 6.x, 7.x, and 8.0 is the same as that provided for v5, thus information on the v5.0 naming and directories applies to v6.0 and later.
The following links are provided for convenience. Often, the information is not specific to the IBM WAS product, but is useful all or in part for understanding the product. When possible, links are provided to technical papers and Redbooks publications that supplement the broad coverage of the release documentation with in-depth examinations of particular product areas.
