removeSIBBootstrapMember command

Use the removeSIBBootstrapMember command to remove a nominated bootstrap member from a selected bus.

Use this command to remove a nominated bootstrap member from a selected bus, or we can use the administrative console: Deleting nominated bootstrap members from a bus.

This command requires the name of a bus, and either the node and server name, or the cluster name, of an existing bootstrap member.

To run the command, use the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client.

This command is valid only when used with WebSphere Application Server v7.0 or later application servers. Do not use it with earlier versions.

After using the command, save the changes to the master configuration using the following command:

AdminConfig.save()

The removeSIBBootstrapMember command removes a nominated bootstrap member from a selected bus.


Target object

The nominated bootstrap member is removed from the selected bus.


Required parameters

-bus

The name of the bus from which we want to remove the nominated bootstrap member. The data type is string.


Conditional parameters

None


Optional parameters

-node

The name of the node where the server we want to remove exists. The data type is string. Specify either the node or the cluster parameter. If we specify the node parameter, we must also specify the server parameter.

-server

The name of the server to remove. The data type is string. We must only use this parameter with the node parameter, not with the cluster parameter.

-cluster

The name of the cluster to remove. The data type is string. Specify either the cluster or the node parameter. We cannot use the cluster parameter with the node or the server parameter.


Examples

The following example removes a nominated bootstrap member cluster1 from bus1:
