WAS v8.5 > Secure applications > Authorizing access to resources > OAuth > OAuth 2.0 services

Configure auto consent

This task assumes that we have enabled the OAuth 2.0 feature and configured an OAuth service provider.

We can authorize an OAuth client without the approval of the resource owner by enabling the auto authorization feature of the WebSphere Application Server OAuth service provider.

  1. Define the following parameter in the OauthConfigSample.xml OAuth provider configuration file.

      <parameter name="oauth20.autoauthorize.param" type="ws" customizable="false"> <value>autoauthz</value> </parameter>
  2. Define one or more OAuth clients you want auto authorized in the provider configuration file.

      <parameter name="oauth20.autoauthorization.clients" type="ws" customizable="true"> <value>client01</value> <value>client02</value> </parameter>

Results

The client01 and client02 OAuth clients are now configured for auto authorization.
