Uninstall fix packs from the Application Client using the GUI

We can roll back the Application Client to an earlier version using the Installation Manager GUI.

During the rollback process, Installation Manager must access files from the earlier version of the package. By default, these files are stored on your computer when we install a package. If you change the default setting or delete the saved files, Installation Manager requires access to the repository that was used to install the earlier version. Perform this procedure to use the Installation Manager GUI to roll back the Application Client to an earlier version.

For information on installing and removing fix packs for WAS offerings on distributed operating systems using the Installation Manager command line, read the following articles in this information center:

  1. Start Installation Manager.

  2. Click Roll Back.

If you are prompted to authenticate, use the IBM ID and password that we use to access protected IBM software websites.

  3. Select the package group to roll back.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Select the version to which to roll back under Application Client for IBM WAS.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Review the summary information, and click Roll Back.

    • If the rollback is successful, the program displays a message indicating the rollback is successful.

    • If the rollback is not successful, click View Log File to troubleshoot the problem.

  8. Click Finish.

  9. Click File > Exit to close Installation Manager.
