Update WebSphere MQ as a Java Message Service provider, and its JMS resource configurations, for application clients

We can update an existing configuration of WebSphere MQ as a Java Message Service (JMS) provider, and update the configuration of WebSphere MQ connection factories or WebSphere MQ destinations.

Use this task to update an existing configuration of WebSphere MQ as a Java Message Service (JMS) provider, and to update the configuration of WebSphere MQ connection factories or WebSphere MQ destinations.

  1. Start the Application Client Resource Configuration Tool (ACRCT).

  2. Open the EAR file containing the WebSphere MQ JMS provider, WebSphere MQ connection factory, or WebSphere MQ destination. The EAR file contents are displayed in the navigation tree view.

  3. Select the Java Archive (JAR) file containing the JMS provider, connection factory, or destination to update.

  4. Expand the JAR file to view its contents until you locate the particular JMS provider, connection factory, or destination to update. Complete one of the following actions:

    • Right-click the appropriate object and click Properties.

    • Click Edit > Properties on the menu bar.

  5. Update the properties in the displayed fields. For detailed field help, see:

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click File > Save to save your changes.
