Controlling which foreign buses can link to the bus

Use this task to control which foreign buses are allowed to link to the bus.

When messaging security is enabled, it is important that only authorized foreign buses are allowed to link to the bus.

To control which foreign buses can create a link to the bus...

  1. Set the authentication alias property on the foreign bus connection to be used for authentication of the foreign bus joining the bus, as described in Connect service integration buses to use point-to-point messaging or Connect service integration buses to use publish/subscribe messaging.

  2. If we require extra security, configure the SSL certificate stores to restrict who can make an SSL connection, and hence link to the bus. For more information, see Create a Secure Sockets Layer configuration.
