Configure the bus to access secured mediations
Use this task to ensure that the service integration bus is authorized to access secured mediations.
The mediation is secured by using a Java EE Connector Architecture authentication alias. For information about creating a Java EE authentication alias, see Manage Java 2 Connector Architecture authentication data entries for JAAS.
To configure the bus to access a secured mediation, add the mediation authentication alias for the secured mediation to the properties for the bus:
- If the bus has a Version 6 bus member, provide the principal and its associated password.
- If the bus has WAS v7 or later bus members only, we need only provide the principal.
- Log into the navigation pane.
- Click Service integration -> Buses -> security_value. The bus security configuration panel is displayed.
- In the Mediations authentication alias field, select the principal for the mediation, and its associated password if required.
- Click OK.
- Save the changes to the master configuration.
Results
The selected bus is configured to access secured mediations.
