Network Deployment (Distributed operating systems), v8.0 > Reference > Commands (wsadmin scripting)
deleteWSGWInstance command
Use the deleteWSGWInstance command to delete a gateway instance.
We can delete a gateway instance by using the wsadmin tool as described in this topic, or by using the admin console as described in Delete gateway instances.
To run the command, use the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client.
Command-line help is provided for service integration bus commands:
- For a list of the available gateway commands, plus a brief description of each command, run at the wsadmin prompt:
print AdminTask.help('WSGateway')
- For overview help on a given command, run at the wsadmin prompt:
print AdminTask.help('command_name')
After using the command, save changes to the master configuration; for example, by using the following command:
AdminConfig.save()
This command deletes a gateway instance.
Target Object
ObjectName of the WSGWInstance object
The command deletes the following objects:
- The gateway instance.
- All gateway and proxy services deployed to the gateway instance.
- All target services deployed to any of the gateway services.
- All outbound services created when creating any of the gateway services by using the admin console " Create a new gateway service " wizard.
The WAS v5.1 gateway used filters for tasks such as logging messages, transforming their contents or terminating an incoming request. When a v5.1 gateway that contained filters was migrated to v6, "StorageQueue" destinations were created to support existing v5.1 gateway filters in the v6 environment. These destinations are not used in v7.0 or later, but they are not removed automatically when you delete the associated gateway. For information about finding and removing these destinations manually, see the corresponding troubleshooting tip.
