Create the target dmgr profile

Step 4: Scenario 2: Migrate cells across operating systems using the command-line tools

The target dmgr profile is a new dmgr profile that is the target of the migration.

The v8.0 cell and node names must match the cell and node names in the v6.x or 7.x configuration. If you create cells and nodes with new cell and node names, then the migration will fail.

Create a dmgr profile...

cd v8install_root/bin/
./manageprofiles.sh -create
                    -profileName v61v8dmgr01
                    -templatePath /opt/WASv8/profileTemplates/management
                    -serverType DEPLOYMENT_MANAGER
                    -nodeName currentDmgrNodeName
                    -cellName currentCellName
                    -hostName mydmgrhost.company.com
