Stop and disable the dmgr on the old host

Step 11: Scenario 2: Migrating cells across operating systems using the command-line tools

Ensure that you do not use the dmgr on the old host. For more information, see clientUpgrade command.

Procedure

1. Stop the dmgr on the old host.

2. Disable the dmgr on the old host by renaming the associated serverindex.xml file...

   Old name

   $PROFILE_ROOT/config/cells/cell_name/nodes/deployment_manager_node_name/serverindex.xml

   New name

   $PROFILE_ROOT/config/cells/cell_name/nodes/deployment_manager_node_name/serverindex.xml_disabled
